In some households, decorative firs have to be protected by metal cages or even hung upside down from the ceiling just to keep naughty pets at bay. But Christmas is a time for everyone - even animals - so to make sure they still have a holly jolly time, some of the spoiled pets captured here get their very own Christmas tree to ruin at their leisure.
The dog looks very sad that there isn't a tree to destroy this year, and so does the little one. This flat have popped their tree on top of the fridge so their cheeky pets can't get to it. These cats have been spoiled, they even have their own stockings - but the tree is far away from naughty claws. This family have out foxed this fox by hanging the Christmas tree from the ceiling. Ironically, this household have put the Christmas tree inside the pet cage to keep this cat at bay.
These two brothers do not look happy that their owner has cat-proofed this tree by cutting away half of the branches. There's no chance of this moggy clambering up this tree as her owner has completely caged it off. This dog looks like he could be too smart for this dog-barrier, his humans may need to invest in a taller fence. This cat is eyeing up this tree that has been balanced on top of a hoover just to keep it safe. These kittens have their own decorative climbing frame in an effort to distract them from the tree.
This dog sits and continplates a way to get over this barrier to the tree without his owners noticing. This ginger tom is hatching a plan to take every single sparkly decoration off this tree. After the nightmare that they had last year, this family abandoned the tree all together and opted for a picture of one.

This household have compromised, half of the tree belongs to the fur baby, and the other half belongs to the humans. This family have ended up having to have a completely fake tree with no real decorations just to keep it safe from the cat. This tree is attached to the wall in an effort to pet-proof, but the cat is still sniffing around.
This cat's owner can't even have a tree inside the apartment, it has to go outside on the balcony. This cat has it's own pathetic excuse for a Christmas tree made from blankets with a few lights thrown across it, he doesn't look pleased. One family tired to make the huge metal cage around this tree festive by attaching bows. To save time on picking up the decorations and putting them back on the tree once the dog has got to them, this family only bother with half.
This cat is not taking no for an answer and is still trying to work out a way to get up to the top. That's a wrap! One sad looking tree is completely wrapped in plastic to keep pets away. Christmas cactus: a slightly harsh way of deterring pets, but effective all the same. This kitty is put in quarantine as the family decorate the tree, because sometimes tinsel is just too tempting. This dog won't be able to get to the Christmas tree with this huge metal cage protecting it.
